First and foremost, I would like to express what art inspires me: Artworks that contain deeper meanings. Looking at a piece of artwork and pondering on what lies beneath its surface, while enjoying the piece itself, is something that I enjoy doing. The best part of it is that these deeper meanings are always up to the viewer's interpretation, allowing the meaning of the artwork to be personal to each individual viewer. Additionally, I find myself motivated to do art because unlike mathematics, science, and writing, there are no strict guidelines or rules that you must follow. You are free to do what you like when making artwork and are not bound by the rules of common expectations. Overall, however, my simplest reason for making art is that it never fails to make me happy or calm.

Before I start drawing, I typically have an inspiration that leads me to it. For example, my emotions lead me to making angry, melancholic, happy, or calm art. In addition to this, the subject matter of my artwork depends on the current aesthetics and topics I am interested in. Also, when I am in the middle of drawing or sketching, I like to listen to music while doing so because it gets my creativity flowing. The mediums I prefer to use are pen, because of the bold black strokes that can be made from it, and charcoal, because it is fun to work and experiment with. In the end, I only stop making my artwork when I either get bored of it or have something else to do.

My art has grown these past years and is constantly improving and changing style. The main thing I love to work with is figure drawing, anatomy study, and surrealism. I particularly like surrealism because it allows me to go deep into my imagination and make the artwork as dream-like or subconscious as I like. My art improves or changes whenever I start to find myself interested in learning how to draw certain things and discovering new themes. Currently, I am experimenting with stippling in a surrealism series called “Distant Recognition”, while also indulging in anatomy study and figure drawing....
